The ALS ice bucket challenge, which seeks to raise money for and awareness of ALS, was accepted by KTLA anchor (and current CNN “New Day” co-host) Michaela Pereira and actor-director Ben Affleck.
Pereira also made a donation to the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease, and challenged TNT Sports’ David Aldridge, NBC’s Erica Hill, and “New Day” executive producer Matt Frucci.
Affleck’s wife, actress Jennifer Garner, poured ice water onto him as he stood at the edge of a pool. He then pulled her in, as one of their children laughed off-camera.
