Actor Vin Diesel got so emotional when asked about the death of his friend and co-star Paul Walker that he walked away from an on-camera sit-down interview.

An entertainment reporter at KTLA sister station WGN was speaking to Diesel last week in advance of the release of “Furious 7,” in which he and Walker star.

The interview, which aired Monday, came shortly after Diesel announced that his newborn girl was named Pauline for his co-star, who died in a fiery Santa Clarita crash on Nov. 30, 2013.

WGN’s Dean Richards asked Diesel about the love and friendship that developed over their many years working together when he said the actor got very emotional. Richards offered to take a break from the questions and Diesel got up and walked away.

When he returned, Diesel addressed coping with his friend’s death in a solo-car crash.

“It feels so strange because I have so many blessings in my life. We just welcomed a baby … and my career is so blessed,” Diesel said. “It almost doesn’t feel fair.”

Paul Walker’s two brothers filled in for him to complete the star’s role in “Furious 7,” which is slated to open nationwide Friday.

“I just hope he’s watching,” Diesel said.
