Thousands of people lined the streets of Hollywood Sunday night for the 90th anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, an event that traditionally kicks off the holiday season in Southern California.

Actor Danny Trejo served as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Trailing Trejo down Hollywood Boulevard was a giant, inflatable Nutcracker, followed by some of the film industry’s most iconic cars, like the Mach Five from “Speed Racer,” the Jeeps from “Jurassic Park,” the General Lee from “The Dukes of Hazzard” and two Delorean’s from the “Back to the Future” movies.

The annual parade, which started at 6 p.m. at Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive, traveled east to Vine Street, south to Sunset Boulevard and west back to Orange Drive.

Paradegoers saw dozens of floats, marching bands, balloons, dinosaurs and celebrity hosts.

Proceeds benefit Marine Toys for Tots.

The parade will be broadcast on KTLA 5 on Dec. 16.
